I haven't posted in forever!!!!!
Jaron is on his second semester of School. He's currently studying Digital Media and is hoping to work for Industrial light and magic, or Bungie someday. He has super high goals and after this semester is over he's taking a break until I get done and is looking for a better paying job in the meantime....
I'm starting my second semester at school tomorrow. We're on to Pharmacology. I'm super excited! Looks like we may be able to buy a house within the next year or so. I'm working part-time and switching to full-time in May probably. I'm also going to school full-time and I'm a full-time Mom. It's pretty hard sometimes, but we survive.
Abby is four months old. Can hold her own bottle. Learned how to scoot, sit-up and laugh. We found out about a month ago that she has Gastroesophagal Reflux Disease. Hopefully it goes away, but in the meantime we are feeding her a special type of formula because she can't have any milk but soy. She also takes prevacid everyday. Poor thing, but she doesn't cry near as much anymore.
That's my update for the month! I hope everyone else is doing great! Love you all!

Abby's silly laugh!
Abby Squeals when she laughs! We're just lucky to get this video of her even though it was after she'd been laughing her head off. She loves being called Stinky!!!!!!

Does the Crying EVER stop????
I'm sure it will, but Abby has a bad case of Colic and I've almost tried everything. She's sure gorgeous and a very happy baby when her tummy doesn't hurt. Her tummy hurts all the time, so we usually only get about ten-twenty minutes of a happy Abby each day.... I just can't wait till things get better. She's so cute!

A recipe for the holidays
Okay. I work at Macey's Bakery in Pleasant Grove. I'm not one for cakes and cookies and such, but I found this recipe in a cook book recently and I wanted to try it. It's amazing!!! The Chocolate cake is so most and sweet. It's so good!!!
1 3/4 Cup Sugar
2/3 Cup Shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 Cup Flour
1 1/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup Buttermilk
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 Cup hot water
Blend sugar and shortening together. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Sift together dry ingredients and alternate flour and buttermilk until mixed well. Mix hot water and cocoa and add last. Mix well 2 minutes. Heat over to 375 degrees. Bake 30 minutes.
And a great buttercream frosting!
1/4 cup Butter
1/4 cup Whipping Cream
2 Cups Powdered Sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Cream butter until smooth, add whipping cream and vanilla and enough powdered sugar to make a smooth frosting.

Abigal Jane Holt
Abigal was born on December 8th at 2:50am after one hour and fifty minutes of labor. She weighed 5 lbs and 13 oz and was 18 inches long. At about eight o'clock that morning they realized that she had a blood sugar malfunction in her system. Little babies like her are sometimes born with a blood sugar immaturity. Their little bodies just don't know how to process sugar yet. So, she was checked into the NICU with an iv. They gave her 8 ml of sugar every hour and just kept testing her blood sugar levels. The next day they slowly turned her IV down as long as her blood sugar was above 60. So every three hours they'd poke her little foot and test her blood. Seriously a hard thing for a Mommy to watch. I left the hospital Thursday morning around eight and Abby came home Thursday night at seven. We're so excited for her to finally be here and so glad she's alright. Yay for such a precious blessing!
