So you have made a turkey roast or just turkey. Need an idea to use the left overs from it? I have exactly what you are looking for!!!!
Turkey Pot pie
1/3 cup margarine or butter
1/3 cup of flour
1/3 cup chopped onion
1/2 tsp salt1/4 tsp pepper
1 3/4 cup left over juice from your turkey. Turkey broth
2/3 cup milk2 cups of left over Turkey from either a roast or just a normal turkey
1 (9 inch) Pie crust from the frozen section or make your own.
1/2 (10 oz.) pkg veggies with peas/carrots/green beans or whatever you like
1 potato peeled and sliced into small cubs.
Heat butter over low heat until melted. Blend in flour, onion, salt, and pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture is smooth and bubbly; remove from heat. Stir in broth and milk. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute. Stir in turkey, frozen vegetables, and potatoes; reserve. Line pie pan with crust; brick with a fork. Pour turkey filling into crust. Place second crust over top. Roll edges and flute. Cut slits in top. Bake at 425 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes.
